| The LON Bus Coupling Unit (the “LON BCU®”) is the base module for all flush-mounted devices. It provides the mechanical, electric and data transmitting connection between an application module and the LON network. The application modules are simply plugged to the LON BCU®. The electrical connection is established by the 10-pin, EIB-compatible application interface.
Hundreds of application modules, such as pushbuttons, motion detectors, temperature controllers etc. from the product ranges of all well-known manufacturers as Berker, Busch-Jaeger, Feller, Gira, Jung, Merten and Siemens are available (a detailed list of all supported application modules is available in the download area); matching the design matching the designs and colours of sockets and visible modules of data and communication technology – from standard white to stainless steel.
To take advantage of all functions of the application modules, a free LNS plug-in is available, by which the universal LON Bus Coupling Unit is configured according to the attached application module.
Besides a broad variety of usable application modules, the new, third generation of LON Bus Coupling Units features a low power consumption. It utilises link power technology and takes the power needed for operation from the LON network. An additional power supply is not required. |
