The Control Panel BT-121 for the first time was used in the new headquarters building of the Deutsche Post AG (German Post Company), which has been created by the star architect Helmut Jahn. The control panel’s design is resourcefully plain.
The user only views a 2 mm thin aluminium plate, in which 12 aluminium keys and a two-line LC display are countersunk. The integrated temperature sensor is not visible for the operator.
The Control Panel keys provide a comfortably short feedback. Arbitrary symbols can be engraved to meet the customer’s individual requirements. On request, the panels are also available in stainless-steel. According to the application loaded, the Control Panels can be used to switch and dim the light, to control sunblind and recall scenes. Furthermore, the BT-121 provides the opportunity of recalling room temperature setpoints and adjusting fan speeds to the customer’s individual needs.
Every time a key is operated, the selected function is shown in the first line of the backlit display. The second line indicates the corresponding current or changed value. The applications are in accordance with the applicable LonMark profiles.
In combination with special frames and flush-mounting boxes, the Control Panels can also be installed in hollow walls or stonework.
