The LON IP-Routers (L-IP) provide a reasonable and simple solution for integrating LON networks via Ethernet/IP.
The LON IP-Routers transmit data packets completely transparent from the LON networks via Ethernet/IP channels, based on the ANSI/EIA-709 (LON) and CEA/EIA-852 (LON over IP) norms. So, Ethernet may be used as a powerful backbone with which even widespread system components can be linked.
The LON IP-Routers and the Multiport-Routers (L-Switch) ensure ideal network structuring. So far, LON networks have never been easier and more efficient to structure. The network is structured locally by the LON Multiport-Routers, whereas several Multiport-Routers communicate with each other via a local TP/XF-1250 backbone. Via a LON IP-Router and a fast Ethernet connection it is possible for up to 200 Multiport-Routers to exchange data in several LON networks.
Stable operation of the network’s infrastructure requires powerful diagnostics-tools. L-Switch, L-IP and L-Proxy devices already include network diagnostics. Loytec’s System Diagnostics Tool (LSD Tool) offers a comfortable user interface to obtain access to the network statistics in-formation which are stored in the
L-Switch and L-IP. In addition, the LSD tool allows remote configuration of the
L-Switch, L-IP and L-Proxy devices via the network.
Furthermore, it offers parallel loading of firmware updates, as well as access to enlarged capacity features, for example the deactivation of single ports on the
L-Switch or setting of an IP-address on L-IP. |
