LON Clocks

LON-System Clock
LON time management is based on the radio-controlled LON System Clocks 4 DCF and 16 DCF. In regular intervals, the system clocks broadcast date and time to all devices connected to the LON network. A DCF-77 receiver can be retrofitted optionally to synchronise the system clocks via radio with the clock of Mainflingen, Frankfurt, Germany - the most precise in the world.

The system clocks feature four resp. 16 channels including 324 switching times. At the pre-programmed times, a defined command is transmitted to the selected bus devices.

Besides general time, day and week schedules, also interval timer programs including prioritised control are available. Furthermore, a random program is provided to simulate presence. By use of the keyboard on the casing, commands can also be initiated manually.

The switching times can be programmed directly via the keyboard or via PC and the Obelisk Programming Set. The Obelisk Programming Set consists of a programming software, a memory card (Obelisk) and a programming device to be adapted to the serial PC interface. The programming set allows simple and clear programming by means of a Microsoft Windows user interface. No LON skills are required to program the system clock so the end user may adjust it himself.

The time program tables generated can be printed and stored on a PC. The programming device downloads the programmed data into the memory card from where they can be inputted into the system clock. The other way round, data can be transferred from the clock to PC. Thus, the Obelisk Memory Card also provides backup.
