It is possible to connect four LoVo SMI control cables with max. 16 LoVo SMI motors each. Therefore the SMI Controller is able to control up to 64 SMI motors, divided in 4 groups.
Besides the SMI connections the Controller provides interfaces for a LON TP/FT-10 as well as an Ethernet connection for an integration into a LON-database.
By the integrated Ethernet interface a hierarchically very even but powerful network structure emerges without IP-gateways.
Normally initiation also is carried out via Ethernet interface. The setting of all internal parameters and configurations does not require a LON specific software and can be carried out per Standard-Internet-Browser.
Additionally the SMI Controller contains operation buttons for a manual control of the SMI-Slaves.
For a control of SMI-Slaves all relevant LonMark objects including timers, prioritised control etc. are available. The common restrictions with LON-devices, as for example the limitation of 15 address table entries, no longer exist.
